Link to: VBI Initiative, promoting young talent with new PIXI books. Today’s distribution of the wonderful new PIXI books to the first two daycare centers in Fürstenhausen, Kath. Kinderhaus Myriam, and in Heidstock, Kath. Kindergarten St. Paulus, together with Mayor Mr. Tautz. How do construction workers actually know what to build? Who designs it? It’s easy to get children excited about building, but even parents sometimes don’t fully realize that engineers first plan houses, bridges, and roads before any digging and construction begins on the building site. The Association of Consulting Engineers is therefore bringing a newly developed, excellent PIXI book to daycare centers. In the book “My Aunt is a Civil Engineer,” Emil discovers what an exciting profession his Aunt Julia has, designs a bridge with her, and marvels at the large, curved roof in the swimming pool that his aunt designed. Ultimately, and who would be surprised, Emil is certain: he also wants to become a civil engineer. The VBI considers this excellent, as civil engineers are urgently needed so that we can continue to live in a good and sustainable environment with safe traffic routes, beautiful bridges and buildings, and a reliable infrastructure in the future. We at WEBER Ingenieure in Homburg are pleased to help awaken children’s interest in the future-proof profession of civil engineering and gladly support the VBI’s initiative.
